Harvis has been engaged by a global private equity firm ($16BN FUM) and has appointed a principal of the firm as an independent Non-Executive Director with the Harvis team providing advisory support to management and the Board.
The corporate aggregation and integration of a portfolio of premium dairy farms across Victoria and southern NSW aims to create a diversified portfolio of geographical and operational risk. The aggregation now consists of a strategic 50 million litres of milk production across 5 high quality farming districts and 5,000 milkers, with additional growth potential.
As the dairy cycle continues to recover from the previous supply glut, with stronger and more stable milk prices and industry dynamics, the aggregation is expected to be of strategic interest to institutional investors seeking investment exposure to the agricultural sector.
The role has enabled the Harvis team to bring to bear its dairy and cattle experience including pasture management, animal nutrition, feeding and milling and general strategic advice.
